Sind Institute of Urology and Transplantation

SIUT had been the brainchild of Dr Adeeb Rizvi, a person who makes me proud to be a Pakistani! The state of the art facilities, comitted staff and ethical practices make this institute the best in the region! I wish we have more Edhis, Imran Khans and Adeeb Rizvis!

Islamabad

The capital city of Pakistan, concieved in 60s, is still in the developing stage. Located in the foothills of Margalla, its natural beauty and layout is stunning! Considering that it is located in South Asia, it is well organized, discilplined and relatively clean. In the last decade there has been a concious effort to beautify it. Here are some of the shots of the city, taking by yours truly!

Beauty and the beast

Benazir Bhutto with husband Asif Ali Zardari

Death of a leader, last photo of Benazir Bhutto!

It was a tragic day for Pakistan! I am not a Bhutto fan, but her death deeply shocked me, and look what we got instead!

Journey of Lifetime

We are back from hajj 1329! We left Islamabad on 23rd (November 08) evening in Ihram. At the airport waiting lounge, an old man who had come to see off the pilgrims, set the pace for our Hajj by reciting ‘Talbeeh’ in a very impressive manner. We reached Jaddah at 10 pm, It was a long night, going through formalities reached our hotel in Makkah at 5.30 in the morning and straight away went for Tawaf and Saee! I was sleepless, very tired and numb from the long journey from Australia, but the chanting of ‘Labbaik! Allahumma Labbaik” would electrify and energize. The 1st look at Kaaba made me forget everything! It was so captivating that I forgot everything around me and all the prayers I had thought, went down with the tears ! Tears of gratitude and humility! The square block of dark grey stone is the most potent magnet. Tawaf around it was an exhiliarating experience. It took an effort to disengage myself from its pull and submit my supplications.
